Important: This operation is irreversible. The virtual machine will be deleted, and there is no way to restore it.
Follow these steps to delete/uninstall the virtual machine:
Launch Parallels Desktop, but do not start your virtual machine.
In Parallels Desktop 10:
- Right-click on Parallels Desktop icon in Dock and open Control Center.
- Right-click on your virtual machine and select Remove.
In Parallels Desktop 9 and earlier:
- Right-click on Parallels Desktop icon in Dock and open the Virtual machine's list.
- Right-click on your virtual machine in the list and select Remove.
Choose Keep files if you wish to access the files saved in this virtual machine later. The virtual machine will be removed from the Control Center (Virtual machines list) but it will remain in its original location.
Choose Move to Trash if you do not need any data stored in this virtual machine and want to remove it completely.
Note: If you do not have Parallels Desktop for Mac installed, search for the file with .pvm extention in
/Users/Shared/Parallels/. Then move it to the Trash. If you cannot find the virtual machine on your Mac, type .pvm into the Spotlight search bar.
