Symptoms

Shared Networking option is greyed out in Configuration Editor.

Resolution

  1. Reboot your MAC.

  2. Go to the Apple ->System Preferences ->Network menu.

  3. If Parallels NAT port status indicator is red, please uninstall Parallels software by means of the "Uninstaller" application [available in the Parallels .dmg package], reboot the MAC and install Parallels again.

  4. If Parallels NAT port status indicator is green , the message saying that "new adapters are available" appears. Click "Configure". Message will disappear.

  5. Click "Apply Now".

Check if the "Shared Networking" option is not greyed out anymore.
