1. Topic:

Update for Parallels Virtuozzo Container 4.0 provides with fixes fixes related to upgrade, p2v migration, cluster operations and application templates creation issues.

2. Problem description:

- Containers upgrade from Microsoft Service Pack 1 to Microsoft Service Pack2 is supported  for English Datacenter x86 and AMD64 now.
- It wasn't possible to login to container as domain user after p2v migration
- Service CT was showed as stopped after Virtuozzo group failover
- Container which belongs to Microsoft cluster took much time for stopping
- Setup.exe from application distributive remained in created template
- Support for Double Take v5.0 (5.0.0.2662.0) to run inside CT has been implemented

All Parallels Virtuozzo Container 4.0 users are advised to update their Virtuozzo node.

3. Affected components description:

- Clustering service - provides an ability to have a cluster from Virtuozzo services
- pv2 migration - provides with ability to migrate system from physical server into Virtuozzo container
- Template creation Wizard - provides with ability to create templates of any application software

4. Bug fixes:

#99147 - Compact disks fail on some hardware
#99582 - SCT is shown as failed after Virtuozzo group successive goes to  offline and back to online
#99532 - CT-member of the cluster stops for extremely long time
#96894 - setup.exe from app distrib remains in created template


5. New Microsoft updates are available to install on the node after the current update installation:

None

6. Obtaining and Installation:

On the Virtuozzo Windows host, run Virtuozzo Update Wizard  (vzupdate.exe)  and follow the instructions.   This wizard will install all the recent Virtuozzo updates and hotfixes in the correct sequence. Otherwise you can install Virtuozzo updates manually.
