SYMPTOMS

Microsoft Framework 3.0 Sp1 fails to install. The following error is displayed:

Microsoft Visual C++ Runtime library

The application has requested the Runtime to terminate it in an unusual way.
Please contact application's support team fro more information.

CAUSE

The reason of such behavior is disabled/stopped Print Spooler service.

RESOLUTION

Please enable Print Spooler, set it to Automatic start type and start the service.
