SYMPTOMS

Following error appeared in License Management secion:
"Error: Could not activate/renew license. KA server response: No properly formed ip addresses"

CAUSE

Sitebuilder hostname can not be resolved from Sitebuilder server correctly.

RESOLUTION

Make sure that Sitebuilder hostname is resolved correctly by adding necessary DNS records or changing Sitebuilder hostname to proper one with help of  'sb_config' utility. For more information how to use this utility please use 'sb_config --help'

Note: If you are retrieving Sitebuilder key, make sure that this is permanent but not temporary license key which can not be retrieved and updated, cause it is valid only temporary during exact period which cane be checked in license properties  in Server -> License Management section.

Additional information

One of the possible reasons for such behavior can be also grsecurity configuration. Apache user should be able to run ifconfig command for  IP addresses configuration check.
