Why dedicated (exclusive) IP-addresses are not assigned to Plesk accounts on my Virtual Plesk node?

Article ID: 3531
Last Review: Dec,26 2007
APPLIES TO:
  • HSPcomplete 3.3.x

SYMPTOMS

The following red error message is shown on Plesk server properties screen Top > Service Director > Plesk Manager > Nodes > Plesk Server Name > General Settings screen:

Please fill in Plesk VE Properties for your Plesk virtual Node, otherwise the IP management will be disabled for all domains hosted on this Node.

RESOLUTION

For Plesk Servers installed inside a Virtuozzo VEs and registered in HSPcomplete as Plesk Virtual node it is required to specify the following additional parameters on Plesk node settings screen Top > Service Director > Plesk Manager > Nodes > Plesk Server Name > General Settings:

  • Hardware Node. The friendly name of Virtuozzo node that hosts the VE running Plesk Server Administrator. You may need to re-specify Hardware Node if Plesk VE was migrated on another Hardware Node.
  • VE ID. Numerical identifier of VE that runs Plesk Server Administrator. For example, you may need to re-specify the VE ID if a VE was migrated to another Hardware Node and started there with another ID.

Usually these settings are detected automatically by HSPcomplete system during Plesk node registration. In case Virtuozzo hardware node running Plesk Virtual node is not registered in HSPcomplete system it is required to register Virtuozzo hardware node first.
