SYMPTOMS

FrontPage related tasks fail with the following error:

CAUSE

FrontPage fails to be enabled on a webspace if the webspace contains some FrontPage data copied from another location directly using FTP or restored from a previous backup.  This is the most common issue with FrontPage tasks and it causes the error shown above.
 

RESOLUTION

To resolve this issue you can follow the steps below:

1. Find and remove all _vti_* and _private directories located inside the httpdocs and httpsdocs directories on the customer's webspace
2. Find and remove all .htaccess files located inside the httpdocs and httpsdocs there
3. Restart the failed task
 

Additional information

In future versions of Parallels Operations Automation such tasks should not fail and block other tasks execution anymore - warning message about contect conflicts will be shown in the CCP instead.
