SYMPTOMS

Domain is shown as out of sync, mailboxes can not be created with the following error:

CAUSE

Domain Object in PSA has special status called Registrar status and some functionality can be unavailable in case this status in not set to Ready. This feature allows end customers to add domains into a PSA environment without pre-validation - in this case the status is set to 'Undefined' and PSA does not allow to create mailboxes for this domain in order to forbid simple e-mail interception by registering a well-known domain in PSA.

Note: non-ready domains are shown as out of sync in the end customers' control panel.
 

RESOLUTION

Domain Registrar Status can be changed from the provider control panel: Also, to set the status to ready, one can select a domain on the Domains screen and click the 'Set Registrar Status to Ready' button.
 

Additional information

1. When a domain is added with help of PBA (Online Store or billing CP) Registrar status for the domain is being set automatically.

3. Starting of PSA 2.6.4 there is a configuration parameter to allow use of e-mail hosting for non-ready domains. This option affects QMail hosting only and can be configured here:
