SYMPTOMS

Citrix CDM service does not start during Citrix Presentation Server installation inside VE, prompting with error that driver is prohibited to start.

CAUSE

Most likely the reason of the problem is antivirus software running on the host. In particular the problem was detected with McAfee 8.5i.

RESOLUTION

Please disable antivirus runing on the node during Citrix installation.
