[FIX]Virtuozzo Update Wizard cannot connect to update server

SYMPTOMS

Virtuozzo Update Wizard fails to download updates with the following error:

Cannot download updates from the server.
You can go back to the proxy settings page and try again.

Even if proxy server is not specified the error persists.

CAUSE

Most likely the reason of the problem is either closed connection to Virtuozzo update server or WinHTTP proxy settings are configured manually.

RESOLUTION

1. Ensure that it is possible to connect vzwinupdate.swsoft.com on 80 port:
 
telnet vzwinupdate.swsoft.com 80

2. Ensure that WinHTTP proxy is not configured manually. Just execute the following command to remove such configuration:
proxycfg –d
