SYMPTOMS

When I try to backup one particular VE, I get the following error:


 
All the other VE’s can be backed up without any problems.

CAUSE

Within the specific VE, the virtual hard disk (root.efd) may be corrupted. This would prevent the snapshot of the virtual disk by our backup utility.

RESOLUTION

First, you should make a copy of virtual hard disk for the affected VE. To find this disk, it will be located in c:\vz\private\VEID\root.efd where VEID is the number of the affected VE.
After creating a copy of this virtual hard disk, please check ntfs to fix the file system of the virtual disk.
