RESOLUTION

If you would like to change the default "vz" directory location, then you will:

Virtuozzo 3.5.1

1. Change Virtuozzo backup location.

2. Change startup type to "Disabled" for Virtuozzo Management service, Virtuozzo KSAL service and VZFS Database service.

3. Reboot the node

4. Move the "vz" directory to the new destination (e.g. from c:\vz to d:\vz)
 
5. Change the follwing registry values to the corresponding path (e.g. from c:\vz to d:\vz ):

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SWSoft\Virtuozzo\LOGDIR
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SWSoft\Virtuozzo\VZROOT
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\SWSoft\VZUpdates\Log

Note: fo x64 the path for these values is:

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Wow6432Node\SWSoft\Virtuozzo

HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\Session Manager\Environment\VZ_ROOTDIR
HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\VzWdogSrv\Parameters\LogRoot

6. Change startup type of Virtuozzo Management Service to "Automatic"

7. Change startup type of Virtuozzo KSAL and VZFS Database services to "Manual"

8. Reboot the node.

Parallels Virtuozzo Containers 4.0

1. Change Virtuozzo backup location.

2. Change startup type to "Disabled" for Virtuozzo Management service, Virtuozzo KSAL service and VZFS Database service.

3. Reboot the node

4. Move the "vz" directory to the new destination (e.g. from c:\vz to d:\vz)
 
5. Change the follwing registry value to the corresponding path (e.g. from c:\vz to d:\vz ):
