[Info] Do I need additional Virtuozzo license if I'd like to have separate backup Virtuozzo node?

RESOLUTION

In case you'd like to have this node for backup storage only you don't need any additional Virtuozzo license. Just note that in this case you won't be able to register this node in VZMC and do backup with it. The only way to do backup in this case is to use the following command from source node:

vzbackup -A <backup_node_ip_address> -P <vzagent0_password> VE_ID


where

<backup_node_ip_address> - IP address of backup node itself consider that service VE on backup node is running in NAT mode.
<backup_node_ip_address> - IP address of Service VE on backup node consider that service VE on backup node is running WITHOUT NAT mode.

Also please note that you can do backup to the shared folder on any remote server which doesn't have Virtuozzo installed.
