- I am trying to open Visual Studio 2015 project from my Documents, but Visual Studio shows me security warning:
Parallels Desktop Sharing Profile is enabled in the virtual machine's configuration by default. That's why the Documents folder of your Windows user account is "looking" into OS X Documents folder, being a network share folder.
Visual Studio detects that you are opening a project from a network share which is unstursted by the default Studio's settings.
You may disable sharing options for the Documents folder of your Windows virtual machine:
Open virtual machine's configuration window -> Options -> Sharing -> Configure... -> uncheck the Documents folder and click OK.
Sign off your Windows user account and sign back in to apply changes.
- Now your Documents in Windows are stored within the virtual machine's hard drive.
In Visual Studio go to Tools tab -> Options… -> Projects and Solutions -> General -> uncheck the Warn user when the project location is not trusted option -> click OK.
