Imported Boot Camp Virtual Machine Occupies Additional Space on Mac.

If we will check the size of hard disk space in Windows - it shows much lower size than whole .pvm file

Cause

Windows misconfiguration.

Resolution

  1. Please perform all steps provided here: Cannot Change Boot Camp Imported Virtual Machine's Disk Size

  2. Compress virtual had disk's space:

    • Go to Configure > Hardware > Hard Disk 1 and click the Compress button.

    • Wait till this process will be completed.
