How can I install and activate Kaspersky Internet Security for Windows in Parallels Desktop 10?

Symptoms

I would like to install Kaspersky Internet Security to protect Windows in Parallels Desktop 10 for Mac.

Resolution

Note: Kaspersky Internet Security license will work with Kaspersky Internet Security for Windows operating system only. To activate Kaspersky on your Mac operating system, please purchase a Kaspersky license for Mac.

Installation

If you would like to install an anti-virus software for your Windows virtual machine, you should start Parallels Desktop, click on the name of your virtual machine in the menu on top of the screen and choose Install Internet Security.

Download process will start.

Click Install in the new window to start the installation process.

Click Yes in User Account Control dialog, if it required your permission to install the software. The installation will start.

When the installation process is completed you will see the confirmation:

Click Finish to proceed.

Activation of a trial copy

During installation of the anti-virus software the 30 day trial license will be automatically installed.

Activation with a commercial key

When the anti-virus subscription expires, you will see a notification. If you start Kaspersky Internet Security, you will see the message License-related problem. Click on Licensing in the same window.

Click Activate the application to enter your commercial license. If you do not have a license key, click on Purchase activation code button next to the activation option.

Enter the license and click Next to activate the application. Enter the key and click on Activate:
