[How to] How to migrate sites from Parallels Plesk SiteBuilder 4.5 to Parallels Web Presence Builder?

  • Parallels Plesk Panel 11.0 for Linux
  • Parallels Plesk Panel 11.0 for Windows
  • Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder for Windows
  • Parallels Operations Automation 5.4
  • Parallels Operations Automation 5.0

I have Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder 4.5.9 with sites on it.

Now I'm using Parallels Web Presence Builder (WPB) (one of the editions).

Is it possible to migrate the sites from the old Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder 4.5.9 to Parallels Web Presence Builder?

There are two ways of migrating sites from Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder 4.5 to Parallels WPB:

  1. Static content from a Sitebuilder site can be imported to Parallels WPB with the "Import Site from Sitebuilder 4.5" feature. Open the Parallels WPB editor and, on the topic selection screen, click "Import Site from Sitebuilder 4.5":

For more details, refer to "Importing Sites from Sitebuilder 4.5".

  2. All sites from Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder 4.5 can be migrated to Parallels WPB using the Migration tool.

After website owners log in to the Sitebuilder 4.5 wizard on the source server, they will be redirected to the new Parallels Web Presence Builder 11.5 editor, and their website content will be moved to the destination server along with hosting publishing settings.

IMPORTANT: The import of sites from earlier versions of Sitebuilder or other content management systems is not supported. Before starting migration, verify that the Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder 4.5 implementation you are migrating from is up-to-date. Before importing a site, please:

  1. Upgrade Parallels Plesk Sitebuilder to the latest version (4.5.5 for Windows or 4.5.9 for Linux),
  2. Install all updates and update Design Templates
  3. Republish all content on the site you want to import/migrate
