APPLIES TO:

Question: Does Parallels Desktop for Mac support the new Apple Retina Display?

Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac supports the latest Retina display on the new MacBook Pro.  Make sure your Parallels Desktop is up to date: click Parallels Desktop menu > Check for Updates... and download and install the update if found.

When running Parallels Desktop, the maximum screen resolution setting of 1440x900 can be used or you can run your virtual machine in full screen mode.  There are some known issues with custom screen size settings.  It may take several months of work before the full set of features of the Retina Display can be fully supported.
