Parallels Desktop 7 crashes when Web Proxy is used on the Host Mac

Symptoms

Parallels Desktop application crashes if Web proxy (HTTP) with authorization is enabled on Host Mac computer. Please check your settings as below:
NOTE: "Proxy server requires password" checkbox should be enabled.

Resolution

This issue has been fixed in scope of Parallels Desktop for Mac Update 3.
However it has not been released yet, so please follow one of the below workarounds.

Workarounds

You may use any of the below:
  • Do not use Web proxy on Mac;
  • Use a Web proxy which does not require authorization;
  • Request your proxy server administrator to disable authorization for it (do not forget to change proxy setting in Mac Preferences).
