Symptoms

After upgrade from Parallels Desktop version 3 to version 7 you can see only black screen on start of your Virtual Machine which has been created with Parallels Desktop version 3.

In order to keep EPSON software:
  • Stop the virtual machine and locate .pvm file in Finder (usually at /User/Documents/Parallels/).

  • Rename this file, e.g. to EMP_NSWLSV.exe.bak
  • Go to [C] winxp -> WINDOWS -> system32 -> locate EMP_Vd1.dll file and remove it.
  • Unmout [C] winxp from Finder and start the virtual machine.
  • Wait until upgrade process is over and install Parallels Toos from Virtual Machine menu -> Install Parallels Tools.
  • Restart the virtual machine and go to C: -> Program Files -> Epson Projector -> EMP NS Connection V2 -> and rename EMP_NSWLSV.exe file back.
  • Click on Start menu -> All Programs -> Epson Projector -> Add-Remove EPSON Virtual Display, uncheck EPSON Virtual Display 1 and restart the virtual machine.
