CAUSEThis is a pure Windows Vista/7 issue, still under discussion here: Active Title Bar size changes notification icon size. Makes it look bad.
It occurs when you have custom settings for the active title bar size in Windows.
In a Parallels Desktop virtual machine active title bar size may change when you launch any guest OS application or switch to Coherence view mode, thus causing the problem described above.
WORKAROUNDChange the active title bar size setting to a standard value:
- Open Control Panel, select "Personalization";
- Choose Window Color, click "Advanced Appearance Settings";
- Make sure "Active title bar” size is set to 22;
- Log off your Windows account and then log on again to apply the changes.
