Attention: use instructions in this article if you want to perform major upgrade of PBA-S server OS, e.g. CentOS 3.x or 4.x to CentOS 5.x. In this case you need to migrate PBA-S to the new server.
If you want to perform minor update of PBA-S server OS within current major release, e.g. update Centos 5.x to the latest version, then you may use instructions in the article How to update OS (minor) of PBA-S server.
You may use the following instructions to migrate
Parallels Business Automation - Standard (PBA-S) system from old container/server into the new one based on new OS distribution:
Important: in case destination container is located on another hardware node new PBA-S license for the new HWID should be requested in advance before migration. Please refer to this article to determine HWID of new Virtuozzo hardware node
Install PBA-S system on destination node with more recent OS distribution installed, exactly the same PBA-S version (the latest one) should be installed. Please refer to Parallels Business Automation - Standard Release Notes and Parallels Business Automation - Standard Installation Guide for detailed instructions and assign temporary IP-address to destination PBA-S server/Container (TMP_IP for further reference).

Migrate your system to new сontainer/server using hspc-mn-backup utility on source node:
~# hspc-mn-backup -m root@[TMP_IP]
Stop source node (shutdown PBA-S server or stop PBA-S container)
Change IP address of destination server/сontainer to IP address of .
Start PBA-S system on destination node/container
Install new PBA-S license if new container is running on new hardware node
