Can I migrate my Boot Camp partition using Transporter?

APPLIES TO:
  • Parallels Desktop 3 for Mac
  • Parallels Desktop 2.x for Mac

Resolution

For Parallels Desktop 8 and later please read the Import Windows and Your Data from Boot Camp into Parallels Desktop paragraph of the Parallels Desktop User's Guide

Parallels Transporter compliant with Parallels Desktop versions 2 and 3 cannot migrate Boot Camp partition. You can use your Boot Camp Windows XP SP2/Windows Vista installation under Parallels Desktop. Create a new virtual machine and specify "Use my Boot Camp partition" in the virtual hard disk options tab inside the Configuration Editor window.
