How to remove Parallels Applications icons from OS X Notifications

Symptoms

All Parallels Shared applications are showing up in the OS X Notifications Center. An Alert Style is enabled for every Windows application in the Notifications Center.

Cause

Parallels Desktop product issue

Workaround

Run this script to remove Parallels Shared applications from Notifications Center:

  1. Open Terminal from Applications > Utilities
  2. Paste the command below as it is and hit return:

sqlite3 ~/Library/Application\ Support/NotificationCenter/*.db "delete from app_info where bundleid like 'com.parallels.winapp.%' and flags=14 and show_count=5;" && killall usernoted
