Cause

You did not restart Safari before using this feature

Parallels Desktop 8 extension for Safari browser was not installed
Resolution
Close Safari browser and open it again
If the issue still persists:

Open Finder, go to Applications

Right click on Parallels Desktop application > Show Package Contents...

Proceed to Contents/Library/Safari/Extensions

Launch OpenIE.safariextz file and install the extension
