Information
This article describes the logic used by Parallels Automation for Cloud Infrastructure (PACI) to calculate IP address resource usage.
Parallels Automation for Cloud Infrastructure is designed to calculate resource usage on an hourly basis, which means that the general formula for calculating costs is as follows:

... and resource usage is calculated as follows:

The same logic works for IP Addresses, even though the unit of measure is Units and not Unit Hours.
This logic is illustrated by the following example:
| Resource | Hour 1 | Hour 2 | Hour 3 | Hour 4 | Total |
| IP Address #1 | 2 [Hours] * 1 [Unit] | 1 [Hour] * 1 [Unit] | 3 [Unit Hours] | ||
| IP Address #2 | 1 [Hour] * 1 [Unit] | 1 [Unit Hour] | |||
| IP Address #3 | 3 [Hours] * 1 [Unit] | 3 [Unit Hours] | |||
| Grand Total: | 7 [Unit Hours] | ||||
If the overuse fee for an IP Address Resource is set to 1 USD, then the customer will be charged 7 USD for the period.
