Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac may ask you to enter any of the following three types of alpha-numeric keys or codes:
 
    • Product Activation key

    • Product ID

    • Support code

Where do I find it?

Product Activation Key

You must enter your Product Activation Key the first time you install Parallels Desktop.

The key is used to activate and register Parallels Desktop.

In the Parallels Desktop 7 box, or in the order confirmation email you received when you purchased Parallels Desktop online.
 

Product ID

If you’ve misplaced your Product Activation Key and you want to reinstall Parallels Desktop, Parallels customer service can look up your key using your Product ID. 

In Parallels Desktop, choose Parallels Desktop --> About Parallels Desktop.

Support Code

With the purchase of Parallels Desktop, you get 24 months of free email support and 30 days of free phone and chat support.

If you enter a problem report or contact Parallels Support by phone or chat, you need your support code.

In either of the following:

At      http://www.parallels.com/account/ after you’ve created or logged into your account.

In Parallels Desktop, choose Help --> Request Support. Parallels Desktop must be registered for the support code to show up.

Activation Key


Product Activation Key
 
A Product Activation Key is a set of 30 characters divided into five blocks of six characters:
 
XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX-XXXXXX
 
This key allows you to activate your copy of Parallels Desktop. If you purchased a retail copy of Parallels Desktop 7, you can find your key in the Parallels Desktop 7 box. If you purchased online, you can find it in your order confirmation email.
 
Your key can be used to register Parallels Desktop. You must register to access your free support.

Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac Activation

Product ID


Product ID
 
A Product ID is generated when you activate Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac. It is a 14-digit secure code divided into three sets of characters:

XXXX-XXXXX-XXXXX.
 
The Parallels Desktop 7 for Mac Product ID was designed to prevent the unauthorized use of activation keys. Versions of Parallels Desktop prior to Parallels Desktop 7 don't have a Product ID. 
 
Your Product ID can't be used to activate an installation of Parallels Desktop on a second computer.

Support Code


Support Code
 
A Parallels Desktop Support Code is a 10 digit number divided into two five-character blocks:
 
XXXXX-XXXXX.
 
A Support Code is generated when you register Parallels Desktop. You must provide this code when you contact the Parallels Technical Support Department.
